The Winterhaven Run Through The Lights is a non-competitive 3 mile fun run through the lights of Winterhaven. This fun run is a casual-paced run with friends filled with lots of holiday cheer. There will be no mass start this year.  Festive, holiday attire is encouraged (antlers, lights, striped socks…).  The entry fee for each participant is two cans of food for the Community Food Bank.

New Meeting Location: Danny's Baboquivari Lounge at 2910 E Ft Lowell. This is right across the street from Winterhaven. Please plan to park on neighborhood streets close to Ft. Lowell and Country Club.  Good options will be south of Ft. Lowell on streets such as Presido, Blanton and Blacklidge.

Here's the plan:

1) Show up between 5:00 and 5:45 PM. There will be no mass start so you can plan to arrive at anytime during this period!

2) Find SAR outside in the parking lot, sign a waiver and drop off you canned goods.

3) Go on a self-guided run (we'll have maps with suggested routes!) through the lights of Winterhaven.

4) Afterwards, join us for a drink at the bar where we'll have Happy Hour Hobble coozies to reward those we deem most festive!

Very Important Notes:

-Obey all traffic laws, and accordingly, only cross streets at designated cross walks, when directed to by police and/or crosswalk signals.

-Be very kind and courteous to others in Winterhaven that are just walking through, stopping periodically, and trying to enjoy the lights. This is  not a race. Be very cautious not to run into people, vehicles, animals, or anything else.

To be sure this festive tradition continues, obeyance to traffic laws and mindfulness of all others at the Winterhaven Festival of Lights need to be spot on!
